Recently I saw a beautiful wreath made by @sagescrub and got to know one of the flowers used in the wreath is called Strawflowers. The beautiful photos convinced me to go and buy Strawflower seeds.
At the same flower shop I found eucalyptus branches ... finally! I was looking for them quite a while. I'm happy to have them on our dining table.
According to the weather forecast, it'll be up to 21 degrees tomorrow. Spring is coming :)
先日 @sagescrub さんが美しいリースの写真を投稿していて、その中で使われている花のひとつがムギワラギク（Strawflower）という花だとを知りました。
あまりにきれいすぎて自分でも育てたくなって種を買いに行ってしまいました。種を買った花屋さんで長いこと探していたユーカリの枝もみつけました。食卓がさわやかでよい感じになりました :)
Wikipediaによるとムギワラギクはどうやらオーストラリア原産とのこと。ユーカリもオーストラリアで、地球の裏側の @sallyfun さんのことを思わずにはいられませんでした。
天気予報によると明日は21度まで気温が上がるらしく、春本格到来かな。緑や花の季節が楽しみです。

Strawflowers are lovely and very hardy - in the last hot summer most flowers were visibly suffering but the strawflowers flowered and bloomed.

Good to know they are tolerant to hot summer. I couldn't make even Kornblumen & Ringelblumen sruvive ... ;) Let's see!

How fun! I am glad you were able to find some seeds :) Good luck growing them in the garden this year! Eucalyptus is so beautiful!

ムギワラギクの写真を以前どこかで撮ったので探してみましたが、見つからず (><)。そして写真のユーカリは、ここでは学校や商業施設の花壇に植えられています (^^)

オーストラリアでは花壇に植わっているのですね。こちらではもっぱらデコレーション用です。… が探し方が悪かったのか売っているのを見かけず、ようやく念願かなって買えました！
