Hello Teachers,

I'm excited to be a part of the week three engagement challenge, and so far it has been a journey of learning for me. The first and second week were great and this week, I've learned how to make my personal fresh pasta right from my kitchen. It was an amazing experience trying out something new.

Did I tell you? I love exploring new things and this wasn't a bad idea. Join me as I tutor you on how my freshly made pasta turned out...

Have you ever made fresh pasta at home? What was your experience like? Tell us.

This is totally new to me and to my kitchen. I have never prepared fresh pasta before, this was my first time. It was a moment of putting in so much effort to attempt something new.

It wasn't a bad experience because it finally turned out good. It was just a product with just three ingredients. I am thrilled with trying out new things and getting an amazing results, the pasta experience was fun.

We would like you to prepare fresh pasta (quantity for 1 person), it is important to explain the preparation process and result (raw).
What kind of pasta did you make? Tell us.

Let me start by explaining what I made before the processes. I made Rolleta pasta. It's a personal name I gave the pasta for my kitchen. I thought since we have different styles and curves of pasta, I could also invent mine, it's not a bad idea after all. I gave it this name because I envisioned rolling out a pasta with a difference. As I worked, I kept imagining the name until I settled for the name Rolleta pasta.

Now, I can give you the steps on how I prepared Rolleta pasta...

• First, I displayed my mise en place which makes the work easy.

-Flour
-Egg
-Salt

1• I seived the flour, cleaned my working surface and poured the flour on my working surface and added a pinch of salt. Then I broke the egg into the flour.

2• I mixed them together to have a dough.

3• I continued kneading until it turned out smooth.

4• With a nylon, I wrapped the dough to settle for a while before working with it.

5• I brought it out after an hour, and cut out a portion to roll out.

6• I used a neat bottle to roll since I don't have a rolling pin.

7• I used a knife to cut out the dough into slices, then I envisioned my style of pasta as I worked and came out with an amazing result. I used my two hands to give it the design that I desired. I sprinkled some flour on my tray and placed my results in it.

8• It's time to cook my freshly prepared Rolleta pasta. I put an amount of water in a pot, added a little salt and set on fire to boil. I gradually added my pasta into the pot and covered to cook. Of course I used moist heat method.

9• I seived the water when the pasta was done and placed them in a bowl.

10• I served it hot.

We would like you to use the pasta you made to create 1 main dish for 1 person. Please tell us what sauce you used or what ingredients you used to complement the pasta to create your main dish. Support your explanation with your own photos.

Using my pasta, I created one main dish just for me. I used tomatoes paste to prepare a sauce for the pasta, then a little veggies to complement it. I boiled an egg to serve as protein.
