Egypt is called the Cradle of Civilization. If you love to explore the ancient history this is one place to be. Egypt is full of these magnificent structure and they are all larger than life size. It is a place full of Temples and Tombs with some most valuable historic treasures hidden in them. I made a 15 days tour to Egypt trying to cover the length and breadth of the Country and visiting almost every attraction it has to offer.

Today let me share with you the Giant Pyramids of Egypt and the Temple of Ramses. Both of these structures are unimaginably huge and it just leaves us in awe to know that they were build in a time when there were no cranes or any type of automatic building equipment. Everything was man made. I wonder, how many people must have sacrificed their lives into making of these structures.

From below if you look up into these pyramids you will feel like they are touching the sky. The Pyramids were built as structures to keep the tombs of the Pharos along with all their possessions. We have all learned of the Egyptian Mummies burried into these pyramids, In those times they believed that once the king died, they had to unite with the God in Heaven and the Pyramid structure was a vessel for them to Unite with the Gods. Also their possessions were buried with them so that in their afterlife they would enjoy the same royalty as when they were alive. To some extent it is also believed that the Pyramids are not man made structures and they were built by Aliens, because practically it looks impossible for a man to create a structure of this precision without any machines.

Since I was very young it was always a fascination for me to visit this place, see and feel these pyramids in real and I could make it.

Egypt is full of Temples which are unimaginably big in size, like the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Ramses.

This is the Temple of Ramses. Inside the Temple there are some decorated wall paintings also. The outside is most attractive to watch. What is quite interesting about this Temple to know is that in the 1960 this entire Temple was moved from it's original site which was sinking into the water. UNESCO did a commendable job in moving it to the new site of Abu Simbel. It is called the Temple of Ramses and Nefartiti.
Queen Nefartiti played a very important role in the History of Egypt. She was considered to be the most beautiful lady and not only that, a very intelligent lady also. She played an important role in to changing the then polytheistic religion to monotheistic one and brought in the tradition of worshipping the Sun God.

The Structures that we see outside were those of the Guards, they were considered to be safeguarding this place. This temple was dedicated to the Sun God. On two days of the year it is said that the rays of the Sun penetrate the whole length of the temple and illuminates the whole place. It must be truly a sight to watch.

Egypt is one place I recommend that one must see in their life time, it is truly magnificent and a treasure of the ancient history.
