When I make juice there is always a lot of left over pulp and fruit and veg fibre that goes in the bin , I decided to try a recipe to re use this so it doesn't go to waste. I added the following ingredients to a blender:
- 2 heaped cups of juice pulp ( the juice I had here was carrot, apple, ginger and spring greens)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup flax seeds
- 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons of soya sauce or braggs
- 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon of tumeric
- Black pepper, to taste
Begin to blend and keep adding water till the consistency becomes smooth. Once blended spread out over sheets and dehydrate till crispy. After around 4 hours take them out and score into squares so they break easily when crisp.
You can store in an airtight container and top with raw vegan cheese mashed avocado.
Nice recipe and explaination. Fibers are very important nutritions for us.
