ෆිල්ම් එක release වුණ දවසේ ඉඳලා Facebook එකේ මේ ගැන දාලා තිබුණ posts කීපයක්ම මට කියවන්න ලැබුණා. ඒ හැම එකකම තිබුණේ "බැලිය යුතුම" horror movie එකක් කියලා. ඇස් බාගෙට වහගෙන බැලුවත් මම horror movies බලන්න කැමතියි. 😬 ඒ නිසා කොහොමහරි ඊයේ මේක බලන්න පුළුවන් වුණා.
1993 වර්ෂයේදී Simion Research Hospital එකේදී පිටත ලෝකය නොදන්නා එක්තරා විදියක අමුතු පරීක්ෂණයක් සිදු වෙනවා. ඒ කියන්නේ opening scene එකේදීම අපිට ඉදිරිය ගැන දළ අදහසක් දෙනවා.
ඊළඟට Maddy. Maddy කියන්නේ අම්මා කෙනෙක් වෙන්න ඉන්න බීමත් සැමියෙකුගේ (Derek) බිරිඳක්. ඒ වගේම ඇය මීට පෙර ඇය ගබ්සාවීම් කිහිපයකටම ලක් වුණ කෙනෙක්. දවසක්, විවේක ගන්න හිතාගෙන හදිසියේම Maddy ගෙදර එනවා. ඒ වෙලාවෙදි, පොඩි දේටත් තරහ ගන්න Derek එක්ක ඇති වෙන කතාබහ අවසන් වෙන්නෙ ඔහු Maddy ට පහර දීමෙන්. හිසෙන් ලේ ගලද්දිම Derek ගෙන් බේරෙන්න ඕන නිසා Maddy කාමරේ දොර lock කරගෙන නිදාගන්නවා. ඒ නිසා Derek නිදාගෙන ඉන්නෙ පහළ තට්ටුවේ. ඒ රාත්‍රියේ දී හැමෝම නිදි අතරෙ තමයි තව කෙනෙක් අවදි වෙන්නෙ.
එදා රෑ Maddy හීනයක් දකිනවා කෙනෙක් Derek ව හරිම බිහිසුණු විදියට මරලා දානවා. ඒත් එක්කම Maddy අවදි වෙලා පහළ තට්ටුවට යනකොට ඇය දකිනවා තමන් හීනෙන් දැකපු දේ ඇත්තටම සිද්ධ වෙලා කියලා. කොහොමහරි ඒ රාත්‍රියේ සිදු වන දෙයින් පස්සෙ ඇය නැවතත් ගබ්සා වෙනවා. එතනින් එහාට Maddy ට නොහිතපු කරදර ගොඩකට මුහුණ දෙන්න සිදු වෙනවා.
දිගින් දිගටම සිද්ධ වෙන මිනීමැරුම් Maddy හීනෙන් දකින්න පටන් ගන්නවා. හීනෙන් දකිනවා කියනවටත් වඩා ඇය මිනීමැරුම සිද්ධ වෙන තැන physically ඉන්නවා ඒත් එයාට හෙලවෙන්නවත් බෑ. ඇයට තේරුම් යනවා මිනීමැරුම් කරන කෙනත් එක්ක ඇයට මොකක්හරි connection එකක් තියෙනවා කියලා. තවත් ඒ වෙන දේ බලාගෙන ඉන්න බැරි නිසා, තමන්ට එහෙම වෙන්නෙ ඇයි කියන එකට පිළිතුරක් හොයාගන්න බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් Maddy මේ ගැන රහස් පරීක්ෂකවරුන්ට දන්වනවා. හැබැයි Maddy ගේ ඒ ප්‍රශ්නෙට ලැබෙන්නෙ හරිම භයානක පිළිතුරක්!
මේ ෆිල්ම් එක horror genre එකට ප්‍රසිද්ධ අධ්‍යක්ෂක කෙනෙක් වන James Wan ගේ අධ්‍යක්ෂණයක්. ඔහු තමා Annabelle, Insidious, The Conjuring, The Nun, Saw වගේ horror movies පවා අධ්‍යක්ෂණය කරලා තියෙන්නේ. ෆිල්ම් එකේ concept එක නම් interesting. ඒක අපි සාමාන්‍යයෙන් horror movies වල දකින යක්ෂ, භූත ආත්ම වලින් එහාට ගියපු concept එකක්. ඒ නිසා තමයි මේක "බැලිය යුතු" එකක් වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. මේකෙ හොඳ story එකකුත් තිබුණා.
ෆිල්ම් එකේ වේගවත් ගලා යාමක් තිබුණා වගේම තිබුණ twist එකත් නියමයි. හැබැයි ඒකෙ paranormal ගතියට වඩා psychological පැත්තට වැඩි බරක් දෙන නිසා සමහර දේවල් අනවශ්‍ය ලෙස පෙන්නුවදෝ කියලත් ෆිල්ම් එක බලලා ඉවර වුණාම මට හිතුණා. 🤔
"බැලිය යුතුම" එකක් වුණේ නැතැත්,
horror movies බලන්න කැමති කෙනෙක්ට මේක අලුත් අත්දැකීමක්.
