We saw a video after the fires went through that area from Sunday, not sure the extent of the damage. Over 30 homes gone. Over 600 in the area gone. The entirety of the mountains up there are burnt and still burning. They have 0% containment. They won't have it under control till they figure somewhere about October or later, 5 weeks or so they say.
It's like an all day sunset every where.
Almost 3 million acres have burnt. So far 3+ deaths and we know 4 families personally that lost everything.

Wooohow π¨ I can't imagine it. You wouldn't expect such a catastrophy to happen. We are so used to having everything under control. Especially seeing the dampened sun...
