In everything we do in life we can choose to give everything we have or simply settle for the results of our few efforts, they are always personal decisions, which go hand in hand with our belief system.
This can be transferred to sports and the moment in which we exercise, at the slightest sign of fatigue or muscle pain stop doing the routine we have been doing, and it is not very logical, because if we want results we must make a great effort to do so. I particularly think that the best way to recognize our true capacities and abilities is to expose ourselves to greater demands.
That is to say, the more we demand of ourselves, the more we will be able to know how far we are capable of going. We just have to dare. I have read that to do exercises and achieve muscle development we must demand much more than we apparently can, that moment when we feel muscle pain and it seems that we can no longer, do it, strive to achieve one or two more repetitions, in there when little by little our muscles adapt to the increase in the number of repetitions.
We realize after a few days that 15 is already an easy number to achieve and overcome, and we go for 20, and we need to increase not the number but the weight with which we work, so we are recognizing ourselves as more capable people, much more than we thought we could.
Now, there is another point in favor, is the fact that we could project this attitude to the rest of the things we do in our lives, that sure sometimes we can think "I prefer to get this far in this because I don't know if I can do it ", or something similar, so being able to achieve much more in terms of exercise could make us see life in a different way, or at least I think so and I hope it happens with everyone.
Let's not doubt ourselves, we are very capable of doing great things, and sports and exercise can help us realize that.
