Dear @aneukpineung78

You surprise me more and more, in a positive way of course. 😉

I think you have made an interesting x-ray of the creation of communities and the role of the moderator.

My role as independent curator for Seven Network and Tipu (this last project very badly seen by the way), has allowed me to move around all the communities and tags of Steemit.
Something that caught my attention was the exponential growth (like mushrooms, in the good sense of the word 🤣😂) of communities.

Especially those created by moderators of older communities and somehow with many subscribers.

My question at first was, WHY more communities? What is their reason for being? How will they be different from other communities. Part of the answer is that those that exist no longer meet the expectations for which they were created, (hence I understand this publication by the author).

Although I believe that communities saved Steemit at the time, I think it is time for a review of their real function. Today, if you ask me and being exaggerated, I see them more as "cysts" in our ecosystem. Instead of as nuclei that can act by creating molecules with other nuclei without leaving or giving up being themselves.

On being or not being a moderator

The irony of what I am saying is that recently I was given the opportunity to form part of the team in a recently created community. (Life takes its turns) An opportunity that I am grateful for in order to somehow propose different ways of: moderating, directing, managing, curating, promoting or whatever name you want to give it.

I see myself more as a talent scout, I like that name better. They don't know What I enjoy is finding posts and authors that make me say: WOW, great.

I'm going to take advantage of that opportunity, with the willingness to make mistakes, to make errors but to learn from them. Of course, my story is different, I'm retired, I have time available, and although I love and enjoy being on Steemit, my goal is to see my time here as a part-time job.

PS: I support you, sending a message line by line is not my thing, I'm just like saying things and that's it. In some way @wakeupkitty has influenced me a little to stop a little more and dedicate more time to commenting.

I read you and I keep it short because you already said everything LOL.
I do wonder what you mean with TIPU.

If it comes to communities I believe it's a good thing we have ones with a topic again. It's not important how many join just that like-minded are together. Till today I still wonder what those with a country name stand for. Language only?

I would say scout-on. Feel free to change your name.
