Does yoga confuse you?
Have you been trying to understand what yoga is all about but it just never seemed to make any sense?
You may have thought it was some kind of pacifist version of karate, with a lot of slow breathing.
It really isn't... but its pretty cool!
Today, yoga has become very popular.
Many people consider yoga as a very healthy form of exercise, and doctors even recommend it.
Yoga is special, because not only is it a form of exercise, but it also includes meditation & relaxation techniques. This unique combination allows you to relax & de-stress, while making you physically fit.
It can also help promote weight loss.
So, if you're looking for a healthy lifestyle, without having to go through extremes, Yoga is a great option for you.
Before I got into yoga, I didn't know exactly what it was.
Because of the way it was often portrayed, seeing people folding and flexing their bodies in ways I had never seen before, I thought it was a very advanced form of exercise, requiring years of experience to practice.
Turned out, I was wrong.
Yoga is way less complicated than it seems.
You can start yoga, even if you're just a beginner, or have absolutely no experience at all.
My first impression was how gentle and effective it was compared to what I was used to — which was working out very intensively at the gym.
If you want to know what yoga is all about, you've come to the right place.
In the upcoming series of blog posts, I'll explain to you in a simple way, what yoga is, how its done, its health benefits and more.
