A pediatric hospital in Korea

Actually I would like to introduce food, culture, education system, good places to visit and routine life in Korea to steemians around the world.

Today I went to the pediatric hospital with my two kids who caught a cold. I think it can be a good topic to make somebody living outside interested.

The hospital I usually go to is located near my home. There are usually many people waiting their turn especially during the change of seasons. So I prefer to make a reservation on the web in advance, otherwise I need to spend more than one hour waiting. However not all people can make a reservation, since there is limitation on the reservation numbers available. Fortunately there wasn't that many people waiting today.

This hospital operates from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm all year round. That is one of the reasons I choose this hospital for my kids. It is very convenient and attractive to working moms just like me. Also I can choose doctors I prefer. If the doctor I choose is famous among moms, I should be willing to wait more.

As you can see on the pictures, the hospital offers many things such as big screen TV, toy cars, books and etc not to make kids and their parents bored during waiting time.

The medical expense I spent today is not expensive at all because of the health insurance I have. It was less than 3 dollars. I think the medical expense and health insurance fee in Korea are both reasonable compared to other advanced countries.
