Combating the Worrying Mind With Guided Meditation Self Hypnosis

in life •  4 years ago

The worrying mind - I think it is a colloquialism that means 'the worried mind'. It is the state of mind where you worry over seemingly unimportant things or are consumed with fears and doubts about certain future events. It can be very debilitating and can affect your quality of life in many ways.

Think about this for a moment - your mind is constantly going through thousands if not millions of thoughts each day. The human mind has evolved to this extent. Yet, what is amazing is that your thoughts are not all your own. They are made up of assumptions, memories from yesterday, and images from yesterday that are running around your mind all day long. Your thoughts about events in the future also come from your imagination.

So how do you get to a point where these thoughts stop and focus on more positive and healthy thoughts? There are some steps you can take. And one thing I'll like to point out here is that you have control over a lot of what goes on in your life. You are in charge of your thoughts, feelings and emotions.

When you find yourself beginning to get stuck and negative or overwrought with negative thoughts, you can go to your favorite comfort place and just let it all out. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Focus on your breathing and bring it in through your nose and out of your mouth. Do this for a few minutes and you'll find yourself feeling much better.

When you find that your thoughts are beginning to become unwieldy and muddled try putting one topic for instance at the forefront of your mind for 10 minutes. This could be some kind of hobby or any other kind of enjoyable pursuit you undertake for enjoyment. When you are holding your attention on something for any length of time - even if it's only an hour - it starts to break up the monotony and get you thinking in a more relaxed and refreshed way.

If you're the type who finds it difficult to readjust your thinking patterns - you may benefit from finding a mentor or someone who can coach you. Mentors are those who've been through what you are going through and have learned how to put their experiences into perspective and help you with putting your life and thoughts in a different perspective. Some folks have even gone so far as to hold onto their thoughts for years believing that everything will turn out OK one day - until they find out differently.

The most powerful thing you can do is to understand that your mind is nothing to be afraid of. It's a part of you and has its own power. So just because you are worried about your mind being over burdened with worry, that doesn't mean you are crazy. Just stay calm and cool and understand that your mind will be calm and cool and your thoughts will also remain peaceful.

The truth is that your mind is so precious - it's an extremely useful tool for you. You need to learn how to harness the power of your mind - in order to reduce the stress and prevent the worry and anxiety that can plague you and rob you of energy and productivity. It's just that simple. If you want to learn more about combating the worrying mind - check out the links below.
