I very much agree with joy being an active, conscious practice. We have to choose it and seek the paths that allow our access (such as if we have depression and need a therapy to get there). I love the idea that being ourselves, loving ourselves, is where our joy lives. I believe we all hold wonder inside, and our job each day is to look for it. Even if we can't see it, to work to remember that it's there.
