The housefly (Musca domestica) is a species of fly belonging to the suborder Cyclorrhapha. According to current thinking, it evolved during the Cenozoic Era, most likely in the Middle East, and has since spread around the world as a human commensal. It's the most prevalent fly found in people's homes, according to research. They have one pair of membranous wings, four dark longitudinal stripes on their breasts, and their bodies are just barely feathered in the adult stage. They have crimson eyes, and the females are substantially larger than the males and stand far apart from one another.
