I think that it is important to be aware of the people around you and to realize what your actions may do to that person. I think that we are now living in an age where this is no longer the norm. Being polite and considerate does not take much time and it certainly does not cost anything.
Of course people wanting to commit suicide is nothing new, but much more help is available nowadays. Being kind and considerate to people will make it more likely for them to want to seek help, for them to see that society is not as uncaring about them, that their lives do matter.
Of course this is just a small step. Society's attitude to mental suffering or illness has to change.

I agree completely. I'm just grateful for the new perspective and ability to realize that so many people are affected by the loss of one life that could have been prevented. Hopefully with a shift in conscious intentions and public awareness we can change this world.

Suicide sometimes feels like such a "taboo" subject, but it is one that needs to be addressed more frequently and with sincerity. Thank you for writing about this in such an eloquent manner... love the phrase "Don't let your own toxic and self destructive thoughts cost you a beautiful future and devastate so many people that probably care a great deal more than you think." Very important to remember :)

The thing is in the moment when you feel completely empty inside, it's hard to describe, but there's this point where you start feeling like everything that exists would be so much better without you being a part of it. Looking at it from the flip side and seeing what I couldn't before, it's because we don't see ourselves as part of the whole and necessary to the fabric of existence. How do we fix it? Surrender and have faith in something; love, humanity, friendship, honestly it doesn't matter what the thing you find to have that faith in is, because it's all about love in the end. The feeling of separation is a feeling of non existence and being unlovable. It's an ego based viewpoint of ourselves and not real in any way. It's a manifested false belief that is so destructive to a person and everyone that cares about them. People just need to learn how to be more receptive and accepting of each other and stop hurting each other.
