Generally due to erroneous education, ignorance or simply facilism, we do not use properly the natural products that nature offers us and that do not have side effects or collateral effects, by using products processed through chemical laboratories that progressively damage our organism in a silent way.

It is very impressive the benefits that basil offers us, in spite of being a plant that can grow anywhere, but by ignoring its properties and use there is no culture to cultivate it and encourage its use for the benefit of our health and at a very low cost.

Basil is an antiseptic, as the oil contained in the leaves of basil destroys bacteria and insects. The juice of the leaves relieves bronchitis, fevers, colds, throat inflammations and digestive problems.

Basil is used in food, because thanks to its smell and mild aromatic flavor is used as a condiment. Against flatulence and gases, it is antispasmodic.

An infusion of fresh leaves and lemon drops calms stomach pains and intestinal spasms.

The infusion of basil leaves is diuretic, stimulating, digestive and relaxing; the juice of the leaves with honey relieves fever.

Basil tea makes mothers produce more milk.

Cold tea is good for eye problems, both in rinsing and drinking. Basil is the great regulator of the nervous system.

Its greatest use is in the fight against fatigue and depression, for its value as an activator of the immune system.

To cultivate the basil plant can be done through pots, keeping them in semi shade and watering abundantly.

This plant is reproduced by cuttings or seeds, plant in soil with good drainage, fertilize regularly, is very sensitive to cold and can be raised indoors.

We should all cultivate this magnificent plant and have it in our homes.

And have you ever used this wonderful plant? What other application, property or use does this plant have besides those mentioned? Do you have a basil plant in your home and if not your answer why do you not have a basil plant?

I have a basil plant growing on my counter now. I love pinching off a leaf and just eating it.
