In today’s post I talk a bit about what I’ve been up to over the holiday period and my approach to 2019.

Wow,
Nanzo I am with you on this. I am in a similar process. I jumped into crypto building a miner reading reddit articles and watching YouTube videos and started investing in crypto the same way, jumped in and read what I could find, watched a bunch of videos, but after getting involved with building masternodes, studying Steemit and learning about Ethereum, EOS and the like... I decided I needed more knowledge about coding to move forward. I know I could partner with a developer and bring my ideas. But I want to know more about both the possibilities and limitations so JavaScript 101 it is....
It’s a slow go with JavaScript, with many dry and difficult chapters, so I appreciate the strong referral for the one your taking.
It’s funny that we think once we get out of school we are done learning, but in reality we are constantly learning to get ahead and build our dreams.

My friends think I am crazy, working 1.5 jobs and doing crypto on the side and now I am trying to teach myself coding. But I think the more I do, the more I can do.
I am constantly pushing the walls of my limitations outward.
I am happy to see you do this successfully and I am happy to see my thinking validated.

Thanks, it’s nice to not be alone in this line of thinking, I hope to meet you one day, when I am more successful.

Onward and Upward,
@shortsegments

I had no idea your scoopstakes were so involved.

I think you're right about the basics.... I've always felt uncomfortable with hacking projects, and always want to learn more about fundamentals. That's the teacher in me, you need the fundamentals to teach effectively.

There are some excellent Udemy courses out there. I'm currently doing an excellent one on Tableau, one of my current projects being to reinvent how A-level sociology is taught, and that involving the use of more live data and infographics.

I have an uncomfortable feeling that sql and python are next on the list!

It's nice having been able to quit work recently and work on projects, however money issues might mean I have to take up a part-time job later this year which won't be ideal!

Nice resolution for the new year! I don't know much about coding and JavaScript at all but seems like you found a good one to learn! I have been learning a few stuffs just to have these all new video content styles as well (and hope it will get better :D) and so true on the combination part!

Wishing you and your fam much success and happiness this year as well!! :")

Always look forward to catching your videos when I can... wishing you much more (crazy content) over the coming year!

The Christmas break is a good time to get our heads down and sharpen our skills. I've been immersed in articles, books and videos that I couldn't find the time to sift through before - all good stuff to get ready for 2019.

Getting stuff done is v much the name of the game for 2019 for me too. Not too much theorising and prepping as I can be guilty of falling into. Execution is the name of the game indeed.

Dapps is the future and they are really taking off....but build on blockchain requires very professional skills. On holochain you can code using Java as i understand is Java you are learning. Good Luck with your project!

Looks like you will have a very busy 2019. I was taking a look into bethereum couple of days ago. Interesting betting project.
