Early polling isn't reliable and shouldn't be taken as fact.

The difference is within the MOE here. Though something to keep in mind with these sorts of questions is they aren't validated voters. People tend to like to say they supported the winner of the previous election, even if they didn't actually vote for them. So you can't really know for sure if these people are telling the truth.

Something we've unfortunately found out with some of the profiles of voters by the New York Times et al. We have had a couple occasions where a supposed Biden voter actually was pretty clearly a Trump supporter.

It doesn't mean to ignore these polls, but just to be a little skeptical of them.
