There were lots of buildings and facilities in 88 Seoul Olympic Park.
The one of the most beautiful place for me was the museum as usual.
It seemed really nice idea to build the museum of Baekje Dyasasty in this park.
But there was a problem, there were not enough relics of Baekje dynasty, so it was not easy to exhibit the relics of Baekje Kingdom exclusively. That's the reason why they have been opening special exhibition from time to time.
The special session of Bakje museum when I dropped by was when it comes to the relics of Goryeo Temple of Yeongkook-sa which was disappeared in Choson dynasty.
It was believed that Yoeongkook-sa temple was built for praying for the eternal prosperity of Goryeo Kingdom. But Yeongkoo-sa temple was destroyed with the collapse of Goryeo Kingdom.
The name of temple ‘Yeongkook -sa’ means the prosperity of the Kingdom. So when we though the meaning of the temple and the fate of the kingdom, we could understand the irony of history.
Sometimes history seems cold and cruel.
The relics were found in the place of Yeongkook-sa temple.
Threre were lost of the relics were found under the ground of in the ruins of Yeongkool-sa temple.
In this posting, I’d like to introduce you the most representative relics among them.
Others will be posted in the next time.
The relics I’d to show you in this post are the kinds of instruments seemed to be used during Buddhist ceremony.
Those are the Geumgang-ryeong and Geumganag-jeo.
Here Geumgang means the diamond, ryeong is a bell and jeo is chopsticks.
Those instruments were made with the bronze, ant the carving sculptures on the surface were so amazing.
It was not a big, but they carved very small items elaborately as below.
The carved figures seemed the Heaven kings protecting Buddhist Paradise.
Fish is a stuff for striking
Geumgang-jeo seemed the spear to attack the evil arousing in our mind.
In Buddhism, the most important and the final goal is controlling our mind.
Those relics were symbols for controlling our minds.
Indeed those relics above are exquisite and the intricacies in design to symbolize controlling of minds is admirable from the past Koreans and up to the present @slowwalker because they live up to these symbolisms to make the modern Korea today.

Yeah the ultimate goal of Buddhism is controlling our mind! When I see these photography of ancient relics I feel like how much of concentrate the creator of these relics had at that time! It's like a meditation, without having a controlled mind, to create such amazing jewelry works (gold works) are impossible!

a beautifully carved art and hard to work, especially with a small size that has a strange shape like a four-eyed spear.
Geumgang-ryeong and Geumganag-jeo now must be very old and become historic objects for Buddhists or for Koreans.
