RUNNING IN THE MARITIMES #10..... RIVERPORT, NOVA SCOTIA

Today marked the very first run in the Run Nova Scotia Performance Series. The Osprey 5K.

The run was held in Riverport, Nova Scotia on the beautiful La Have River.

The La Have River has two very distinct features which I love and find so interesting. One is a Ferry that actually takes people and cars across the river.

The other is The La Have Bakery. In my opinion this is one of best bakeries I have ever been to.

I always find it so interesting how the water changes colour depending on the clouds.

All in all it was a fun run on a beautiful day. All the proceeds going to such a great cause. All proceeds raised will go to the Riverport Community Centre and to Pro Kids.

Pro Kids is a program that provides financial assistance to children and youth from Riverport who, due to lack of funds, are not able to participate in sport, recreation and cultural activities. This program strives to remove financial barriers to ensure every child and youth has an opportunity to participate.
