“'One conscious breathe in and out is a meditation."

header-big.JPG

A lot of people think that meditation means sitting in a particular posture and closing your eyes. Well most don't even know what to expect after that, but that call it meditation. In my eyes, they have already gone wrong by telling their self that they are in a meditative state.

To me mediation should be done without thought, and no I don't just mean close your eyes and think of nothing. I am more saying that something as simple as painting, being in nature and just observing things as they come,
or even eating your favorite food can be a meditation. Sitting down and doing nothing is hard for most people who are just starting to put intent into meditating.

Anything that causes you to go in a deep rhythmic state without worry of anything else in the world is a meditation. One of my favorite forms of meditation is to focus on my breathing, taking full inhalations and exhalations until it eventually fades from my mind and I go off some place outside of my body completely. You should try it sometime.

Just remember when you are breathing to inhale through your nose and watch your belly fill up like a balloon. When you exhale it can be through your nose or mouth, and your belly should suck in to release all of the air you inhaled before.

You are right! meditation means thinking nothing at all, even not that you are thinking nothing. Just sit in the correct position (asana) and breathe, feel your inner things.

It is not as complicated as some make it out to be. A lot can be learned from just our inner self.

agreed!

A really straight forward explanation for a curious reader such as myself. It also made a lot more sense to me, thank you mate.

You are welcome my friend. I try not make my writings too complex.

👍

@daltono thinking about meditation reminds me of the Feb 13th midnight. Here in India Mahashivratri was celebrated on 13th Feb night (6pm to 6am) at Isha yoga center. Whole celebration was streamed live on T.V channels, but the most important part of the celebration was the mid-night meditation. check out this footage, this is one of the rare videos where Sadhguru goes into deep meditative state, unlike ever seen before on video, https://steemit.com/sadhguru/@benatbanglr/sadhguru-at-maha-shivaratri-2018

Wow that is a huge stage! I have never seen anything yoga related that big. I need to visit India!

Yeah, that was a huge one. Imagine all of that crowd meditating at the same time. :D

Now is the new future

Hey again, @daltono,

LOVE your post title and these excerpts that break down what you're teaching so it's easy to understand:

...something as simple as painting, being in nature and just observing things as they come, or even eating your favorite food can be a meditation. Sitting down and doing nothing is hard for most people...

And...

Anything that causes you to go in a deep rhythmic state without worry of anything else in the world is a meditation.

So simple, so true and so everyday real. Something anyone can do and enjoy each and every single day to deepen their own relationship with themself.

Thank you so much and Angel Blessings!

Some posts require much depth, others such as this one can get the point across in just a small amount of word play. Thank you again for checking out my page. I will follow you now so we can stay connected.

Thank you. I'd like that.
