I am guessing that Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy had no idea that part of his job description is to prevent his players from licking the faces of their opponents, but that is exactly what Cassidy just did.
You would think that it would go without mentioning that one should not lick an opponent unless that opponent is Rocky Road and it is an ice cream eating contest. But apparently that is not the case for brad Marchand. And he has needed to be told by more than one authority.
It wasn't enough that he had to be directed by the NHL league office to stop licking opponents' faces. Marchand actually had to be told by his own coach.
