Many people have a habit of thinking that when you are having a good time you are not giving yourself enough credit. To them it would seem that by having a good time, I don't mean that I am not giving myself enough credit. But when you are looking at yourself in the mirror and you are looking at the good parts of your life, even when you are losing the battle, then you might be overlooking the bad parts. If you are not careful, you could find yourself getting discouraged when you notice that you are not living up to your expectations.
So if you are finding that you are not living up to your expectations and even though you think that you are enjoying yourself, there is something that you need to check into. Could it be that you are not having a good time? If this is the case, you need to make sure that you are not doing anything that is ruining your good time. Find out what is making you feel bad and change it so that you can enjoy your life even more.
You cannot assume that you are having a good time because you are enjoying yourself. If you want to truly enjoy life, you need to ensure that you are enjoying yourself even when you are losing the battle or trying to figure something out for the first time. For example, if you are having a hard time with an obstacle that you are trying to get over, try not to focus on that and give yourself some space. Take a deep breath, focus on something else and soon you'll be over your obstacle.
Sometimes your body language may say that you are having a good time even when you are losing. So determine how you are walking when you are trying to complete something that you were previously unable to do. Maybe you are walking slower and with much more care on your steps. Or maybe you are stepping or bending in a way that is making you lose your balance.
The easiest way to determine whether or not you are having a good time is by paying attention to how other people are reacting to you and the situation. Even if you are having a rough day at work or you find that you have nothing really going on around you, watch what your co-workers are doing and pay attention to how they react. Is there something that makes them angry or uncomfortable? Do you make sure that you keep them happy or do you try to solve the problem that makes them mad?
Sometimes you are able to enjoy a good time when you're having a bad day and this can help you keep from feeling bad even when everything seems hopeless. When you're having a bad day, try to spend some time just being happy. Smiling and laughing is often one of the best ways to cheer up and to make others feel better. This may be easier said than done however, so when you're having a bad day make sure that you do anything you can to keep smiling and that everyone else can too.
One last thing to keep in mind when you're trying to enjoy a good time is to make sure that you're prepared for it. If you're at an event where you have to do a presentation, be sure that you're dressed appropriately. If you're attending a party, dress casual unless you're particularly comfortable in that type of attire. Have any of your items already packed and ready to go.
A good time is something that everyone deserves and even when you're having a bad day you should make it happen. If you don't have the time to do a lot of things for fun, you can always hire someone to come along or join in whatever activity you have going on to make sure that everyone has a good time. Sometimes the best thing to do is just to talk with friends and family who are close by. You might just find that you have more fun when you have a friend or relative that's right there in your party and can help you out with whatever you need.
