Be still, and know that I am God...
Psalms 46:10
The value of being in a state of calm/rest is immeasurable, particularly with the things of the kingdom. Being calm is lifesaving! We mostly think being still refers to inactivity, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. One may be seated in a place and visibly not doing anything physical but the same person isn't still, according to the scriptures. Being still is priceless.
Being still has a lot to do with the state of a persons mind, which will ultimately affect the totality of the person (spirit, soul and body).
I know from personal experience that God is more eager to lead us by the hand into the secret things of the Kingdom. Things pertaining to walking in glory which most of us are willing to receive. The reason, we don't enter into this grace, we are not still. The minds of many Christians are constantly at work; scheming, devising, strategizing, and all the other active verbs that excludes being 'still and waiting on the Lord'. We sometimes associate waiting with being idle & waste of time. Without knowing it, we are inadvertently saying to the Lord, we are self-sufficient, we don’t need your help. In this dynamic world, it pays to have someone on our side that sees every single piece of life's jig-saw puzzle, help us navigate and avoid the pitfalls in life.
I Sam 9:25 says “And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on), but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God” Did you see it, Samuel, the prophet of the Lord said to Saul, who was about to be made king at that time, send the young man away, but you must stand still, until I can shew you the Word of God.
Saul did not need a lecture in the Art of war, nor how to understand the heart of men; this soon to be king needed much more, he needed to know the Word of the Lord - the tool for victorious living.
A Calmed spirit and mind stays in the court of the lord and upon his holy mountains .
Isaiah 2:3 says "And many people shall go and say, ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem." This is very instructive, the author says, come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord. In the old testament there was that which is called 'the mountain of the Lord'. However, in this new dispensation even though there isn't a physical mountain to climb, we do take steps synonymous with climbing a physical mountain. Climbing a mountain is a physical task; it requires strength, focus, endurance, etc. The higher one climbs, the better the vision. The flesh is brought into shape by a person's will. Climbing is listening to the Word and conforming ones life in accordance to what has been taught.
God is also calling His own to leave religion, the fundamental things of the Word, and move up higher; to bring the flesh to conform to the Will of the recreated human spirit, which is to think, and see as God does. Even though the invitation is open to everyone, but as we know, only a few will reach the top; and therefore be chosen - to receive the revelation of deep and hidden things.
Everyone who has ascended the spiritual mountain have been granted insight into hidden things, and clarity of purpose and being.
Learn to be calm in your spirit at all times and enjoy a victorious life.

I also understand from this post that being "still " is not an easy process. It takes effort, it takes grace.
"...he leads me before still waters, he restoreth my soul".
God can give us the peace that surpasseth all understanding. The world is full of turmoil. Things are complicated.
God can give us peace to help serve him better.
Thank you @maxdevalue for blessing my soul.

Hello brother @buterdanien I really appreciate you comment, you made some powerful points there on how we should trust God to work out his purpose in us which we can only attain through concentration, being still in the our spirit for God.

Psalm 37:7-9
Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked
schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. Thanks for sharing sir
