2 Minutes Sleep Meditation

Welcome to 2 minutes sleep meditation.

We will be going through a short meditation to help you relax and fall asleep. Start by getting into a comfortable position. This can be on your back with your head and neck comfortably supported, or on your side.

Take a moment to get comfortable, so that you're not tempted to move around. Take a few long and slow deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Breathe fully and deeply. Bringing a sense of calm to the body, feel the sensations of your head against the pillow, your body against the sheets, the sensations against your skin.

Scan your attention from the top of your head, right down to the tips of your toes. As you breathe, see if you can focus on all of these points of contact, as well as the rise and the fall of the body with each breath.

Now as your body is relaxed bring to mind, something that happened today that made you smile, or something that you're grateful for. Don't analyze or justify it, just feel that gratitude and happiness. And when you're ready in no hurry at all, keep breathing slowly and deeply and drift off to sleep.
