Friendly Reminder For RUNCOIN Distribution Round 4: Post Your Proof of Run (Strava, Garmin Race) and Get $1 Worth Of Tokens πŸƒπŸ»

in running β€’Β  7 years agoΒ

I just wanted to let you know that we're right in the middle of the fourth distribution round of RUNCOIN, my experimental coin for runners. By distribution round I understand something very similar to a faucet, in crypto lingo, only I'm doing it manually.

The first three had five beneficiaries, with a combined value of 223 RUNCOIN.

RUNCOIN is trading on OpenLedger.

For each running activity you get $1 worth of RUNCOIN (between 27 and 31 tokens at the current price). I will also need your OpenLedger account so I'll know where to send it.

Here are the detailed rules:

  • $1 worth of RUNCOIN per activity (running activity, that is)
  • proof of run must be submitted, in the comments: screenshot + link + proof of identity
  • proofs of run must be newer than the date of this post
  • OpenLedger account so I know where to transfer the tokens
  • all transactions will be published here, on Steemit
  • time window for this distribution is July 30th (everything posted after that will not be eligible for rewards)
  • This round will expire on August 10th, please refer to the distribution roadmap below.

The total amount of RUNCOIN issued so far is:

  • 88 on June 30th
  • 888 on July 3rd
  • 223 have been already distributed

RUNCOIN has a limited supply of 8,888,888 tokens (out of which 88,000 are reserved for network maintenance).

The Distribution Roadmap

  • 1st Round: July 1st - July 10th - closed
  • 2nd Round: July 10th - July 20th - closed
  • 3rd Round: July 20th - July 30th - closed
  • 4th Round: July 30th - August 10th - current
  • 5th Round: August 10th - August 20th
  • 6th Round: August 20th - August 30th
  • 7th Round: August 30th - September 10th
  • 8th Round: September 10th - September 20th
  • 9th Round: September 20th - September 30th
  • 10th Round: September 30th - October 10th

You may want to save these dates. In each distribution window, I will distribute $1 worth of RUNCOIN to every runner who will follow the conditions above. The rule is that there is only one slot per distribution window, but you can participate in as many distribution windows as you want. So you can't get more RUNCOIN if you post many races during a distribution window, only one slot, but you can participate in all the distribution windows (getting $1 worth of RUNCOIN in each of them).

I'm curious how this will play out, how many people will find RUNCOIN useful and, why not, how the price will evolve.

Let's run and play :)

This is a brilliant idea who'd of imagined it... Proof Of Run haha!

I'm so lazy it is ridiculous.
I keep telling myself I will run but I don't in the end.
I need some sort of motivation rather than sitting here on steem 24/7

How's this? My OpenLedger account is luke-stokes.

It's great, you qualify. Welcome to the gang :)

Man... now I just need to create LogicCoin, which creates $1 LOGIC every time you think about something.

How do you enforce PoT? (Proof of Thinking). It has been excruciatingly difficult to do this throughout history...

That's a good question. There would probably be a requirement that you have an EEG helmet that must record a certain spike level before the LOGIC can be created.

Not looking for good thoughts, just thoughts.

But, I could do a baseline PoT with the EEG to determine what the user deems "logical" and then that could be the guide in determining if the thought was logical or not. That would probably make LOGIC more value, as all thoughts were logical.

@deanlogic
You could make a wave analysis of your brain activity and determine the PoT on the dominant wave frequency. I would go for alpha level since it connects logic with imagination. The way ideas are born. First they are imagined and then they exist :)

And I guess I could validate the PoT through the blockchain with Witness who also based line at the same PoT EEG levels. ;)

I probably still don't have it down right.

Please write a blog post about that. I dare you! I double dare you :))

Kidding aside, I am a more than a little bit interested in seeing what it would take to create my own crypto.

But, let me give the LogicCoin post some thought. LOL

I am a more than a little bit interested in seeing what it would take to create my own crypto.

It's trivial to do it on openledger....

Now you've started something...

Just found something that can analyze Mental Effort and Cognitive Preparedness among other things.

keep going, I'm curious too

If you go the Descartes way then PoT is easy. 'Cogito, ergo sum'.

Hm, looks like I've missed a lot of runcoins. I've been running every day since July 1st. A streak of 39 days. Every single run is publicly accessible in my Garmin profile.

Please, tell me how can I fix the situation and get some coins retrospectively?

openledger: top-bitcoiner
Example: #runeveryday - July 2017 Summary - 212 Kilometers In 31 Runs

Ok, I'll think about it :)

Thanks. Here is a story about tonight's so called run -> https://steemit.com/running/@ervin-lemark/runeveryday-two-miles-barefoot-easy-run-with-a-twist-040

PoR (Proof of Run) included :)

Hey @dragosroua, here is my run.

On Strava

And..... after a bunch of messing around trying to log in... I finally got into my wallet and what do I see? (account is trevor-george)

My very own RUNCOIN! woohoo! Happy with that.

I got paid to run. I'm a professional athlete! hehehe

Congrats on turning pro.

Ps: I always considered myself a professional recreational runner :)

hehe Thanks ;-)

But of course you are :)
