Going Gently But Not Gently Enough

First run in ten days since I had to cut short with pain in my calf/achilles tendon. I've rested, elevated, ice-packed and massaged. On Friday I saw my osteopath who got it feeling much better and put some straps on to help support. Basically I'm running a bit flat footed on the left despite the inserts in my shoes and this is causing strain where that bit of the calf is getting overstretched.

I took her advice and didn't run until this morning. I almost made 2km but it was starting to hurt just the same and I knew I'd have to walk home rather than go on. So boring.

I feel good for having been out and got the heart and lungs going, but I wish I could have been out for longer. So, back to the self care.
