MinION is developed by Oxford University spin off Nanopore, aiming to provide easy handling DNA/ RNA sequencing technology, with plug and play device, simple to operate at an affordable price to even the general public!

DNA Sequencing are now portable, available with pocket size, providing a new, rapid and efficient methods compare to the traditional methods in the existing market.

The MinION device has been tested from extreme environments from artic, under water lab and even the space station, proving its simple yet robust use. Most of all, everything are in a pocket size portable flow cell device.

What Can It Do?

It can provide easy DNA/ RNA sequencing with different samples, with easy sample preparation. The starter kits come with a device using the Oxford Nanopore technology., together with the MinION analysis software, users can generate their own DNA/ RNA sample data. Users can sample and sequence their own DNA as cheap as USD $1000, making human DNA sequencing cheaper than ever before.

      Excellent hunting biuiam, then I will give you my personal opinions about this game.

      Pros:

      • Synthesize the highest possible technology regarding DNA / RNA sequencing in a small and compact device.
      • You can use it and take it anywhere, since it was created with isothermal materials, which makes it work at extreme temperatures.

      Cons:

      • It is too expensive even for a scientist the complete Kit is close to 15,000 USD.

        SUPER HUNT
        This is my opinion about your hunt

        Pros:

        • Making human DNA sequencing cheaper than ever, maybe not many think of something like this. Very great in my opinion because with a cheaper price MinION is able to provide more optimal results.

        Cons:

        • Maybe the price can be reached by the general public. However, the price is still quite expensive.
