Homemade baked barley with vegetables

An independent lean dish or a delicious side dish for meat. Barley is baked with carrots, onions, tomatoes and peppers in the sleeve, so the aroma and taste are even richer.

Ingredients


  • Pearl barley 200 g
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Sweet peppers 2 pieces
  • Tomatoes 1-2 pieces
  • Bow 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil 2-3 tbsp. spoons
  • Salt taste
  • Ground black pepper taste

Preparation



One. Boil the washed barley until almost cooked for about 50 minutes.

To speed up the process , the cereal can be soaked first.

2 ․ Cut carrots, peppers, tomatoes and onions into small pieces. Mix with cereals, add oil, salt, black pepper.

3 ․ Fold everything into a baking sleeve and tie. Poke holes in the sleeve with a toothpick.

four. Transfer to a baking sheet or into a mold. Bake the barley with vegetables at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes.

five. Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
