Everyone wants to be content. But what exactly constitutes happiness? Ask anyone, and you'll discover that each person's definition varies greatly. What the person really wants and what he does on a daily basis actually differ significantly.
By default, the majority of us accept the general concept of self-fulfillment. a socially constructed, impersonal, and uniform concept.
The worst case scenario is that we end up adopting other people's definitions of happiness. It's the quickest path to disillusionment. We do this because we often find ourselves attempting to fulfil the goals and aspirations of others.
The most prevalent type of self-neglect is adhering to a general definition of happiness. However, we do it because we hardly ever envision a happy, fulfilling life for ourselves.
It is challenging because the idea of happiness is ambiguous in and of itself. What we cannot see, we cannot pursue. Self-fulfillment would be a more logical and practical goal to aim for.
Contrary to happiness, fulfilment has a clear definition. When all the requirements for feeling satisfied have been met, one is said to be in a state of fulfilment. Period. It is the sensation of having everything we could possibly want and not needing anything else.
But how do we recognise the good things that will give us daily fulfilment as individuals? Experiences that are fulfilling have a special set of qualities. These qualities can help us choose where to spend our time, energy, and focus in order to lead more personally satisfying lives. Here, we will investigate this.
Focusing on the things that improve life quality each day will help you lead a more fulfilling life. We refer to this as self-work. Developing skills and routines that lead to personal fulfilment is known as working on oneself or personal development.
It entails pursuing goals that are personally significant and fulfilling. We must become familiar with these positive fulfilling experiences' traits in order to understand what they entail.
We use the idea of money every day as humans. For instance, to persuade a group of people to band together and work for the cause we support. The ironic thing is that, despite the currency's strength, it will quickly become irrelevant if the society that backs it decides to stop accepting it. No one would go to work any longer because why work for nothing?
The time that would be lost is what really worries me. wholly why? because time is a valuable resource. In contrast to money, your time would not be impacted if others decided their time was no longer valuable. What ultimately counts the most? The trust of the people who comprise a society determines the value of money. There is no one on whom the value of time depends. It has worth on its own. So what is the actual value of life?
The only thing that truly counts as a life's worth is the quality of our time and our happy memories. The quality of our time also depends on how we choose to use it. Let's reiterate these ideas because they are the cornerstone of self-fulfillment: the quality of the time you spend is the only accurate indicator of your life, and the quality of your time is determined by the things you choose to focus on.
