There is a park near where my wife and I live that we like to take our dog to in the summer and walk around for a mile or two. It is basically a huge track shape with long straightaways on the top and bottom, then shorter straight aways on the end. In the middle are several fingers that connect the longer sections to each other. This year we have started to walk on the fingers, then jog on the straightaway to the next finger. I am hoping these brief interval bursts will give us a little more intensity in our exercise. Looks like a really nice place where your run took you! Great job beating the record!

This park has just had the grass cut and I had to wade through piles of it. I just like to get off the hard surfaces to give my legs some relief

That's horrible! My wife was telling me that when she takes the dog to the park to walk alone they always stop mowing whenever someone walks by them so they don't blow grass all over them. Cool little thing that just makes us love that park even more!

Ah ha @steevc. Is that one of those old railway lines I was talking about yesterday that I would like to put back as they were? 😁

I don't think it was ever a railway there. When Stevenage was built they put cycle tracks everywhere, but some are deteriorating. Problem is they made the roads too good, so folk just drive. Still, a lot of people cycle to work here

It must be great to have cycle tracks that wide @steevc. Even I would be tempted to have a go on those.

I find it too nerve-wracking here. The roads are too busy and the cycle tracks are full of pedestrians wandering into them without looking. It's not a very relaxing experience at all!

Hence, I've not been on my bike for a good few years now.

The day has only 23 hours and not 24, do you know why? Because one hour is booked always for running.

very funny

Nice going man!
Post running workout too........ although pull ups are hard. I always thought that starting with equipment and then moving onto pull ups was a good strategy.

Your application Endomondo is very useful @steevc, I have a long time that I do not go to a park, because I am still resting, but I am sure that the parks of your city are more beautiful than mine. It must be very exhausting that routine, just imagine it. But at the same time it is very healthy and that is what matters, with time you get used to the routine and then it stops being so exhausting. It's good that people like you share their adventures, you've won a fan! I hope to see you soon. God bless you always. By the way, I'd like to see more pictures of that bike park in Stevenage.

Regards....

I take it the Stevenage neighborhood is named in honor of you, steevc?

Of course it is :)

Wow wonderful place and nice photo.
