Conscious Awareness Activities You Can Do as a Family

The practice of concentrating on and objectively examining an individual's present physical, mental, and emotional state is known as "conscious awareness."

Examining the ideas that take over the mind on autopilot, confronting feelings and their bodily manifestations without passing judgement, and allowing them to pass are all necessary.

As a result, by connecting with our values, it supports us in overcoming the influence of difficult feelings and ideas, controlling our emotions, and making deliberate decisions.

These days, one of the fundamental life skills taught in schools is conscious awareness. There are other awareness-raising exercises that parents may conduct as a family and that are quite simple to put into practice.

Pick the simplest activity from the list we'll offer with you, and attempt to complete it once a week. You may aid your child in developing awareness as they live and grow in this way.

Take your kids on an awareness stroll through your backyard or other natural areas. Pay attention to the breeze and rustling leaves that you have never noticed before. Examine a tree's bark with your hands. Watch the ants as they scurry across the grass.

Locate a flower and take a long breath through your nose to inhale its aroma. Give your senses the freedom to rule you. You're thinking automatically and you're bored, etc.

By validating your emotions, you can carry on exploring awareness. According to research, going on a nature walk improves one's capacity for focus. And figure out the advantages you will experience if you do this mindfully.

Grab your youngster and a strawberry or other favourite fruit. Consider the sensation the fruit leaves on your hand before putting it in your mouth. Take a few minutes to curiously examine its shape, colour, and fragrance, just as if you were experiencing it for the first time.

Next, place the fruit in your mouth alongside your child and do not chew on it. Give it another minute to swish about in your mouth before deciding to take a bite out of it. You can now feel the sensation disappear as it passes down your throat.

Enjoy the aftertaste it lingers on your tongue for a little while longer. Eating mindfully will make the experience more contented and appreciative for you. You might experience a sense of calm and contentment that relieves tension in your body.

Silence Game: Normally, our bodies take care of our breathing on their own. We can, however, pay attention to our breathing and regulate its pattern and length.

Together, establish a time when you will both listen to quiet or simply concentrate on your breathing and heartbeat. When you're ready, take note of how clean the breath feels coming out of your nose via the holes.
