It seems like there are a lot of things in life that don't work out. This is how it has always been, and this is probably how it will stay.
The majority of us, particularly in the last several years, struggle to feel content with our life since we are aware of our shortcomings.
When we contrast our life with others', we see that we have a lot of issues. It might be challenging at times to find the good in our lives in the midst of all these failures and faults.
For certain people, this manner of living can seem rather exhausting. But it isn't because things aren't going well that these issues are more noticeable to us; rather, it's because we don't appreciate what we have.
We tend to forget that we have many things and that we are sufficient just the way we are, all the while striving for more and better.
A wonderful notion for our everyday lives, gratitude entails recognising, realising the worth of anything that is important and meaningful to us, and feeling thankful.
When something unfortunate occurs, those close to us frequently tell us, "It's okay, be grateful anyway."Some folks are also unable to locate this.
Even though their main purpose is to soothe us, listening to them doesn't help us feel better because they take away our ability to express negative emotions like grief, rage, and disappointment. We think this isn't how we should be feeling at the moment.
But even the simplest item could dull you, and something that you or others find superfluous could easily depress you. It is quite normal to experience these emotions.
Being thankful, however, does not imply putting up with our circumstances or not speaking out.
Rather than being a destination that we reach when particular requirements are satisfied, we may define gratitude as a general sense of satisfaction that arises when we appreciate the small things in our lives.
Not only can cultivating appreciation improve our psychological and physical well-being, but it also makes our lives more colourful. It strengthens our relationships with others, which draws us closer to one another.
Keeping a thankfulness notebook can be considered a discipline that develops skills. Our perspective and inner voice become more optimistic when we set aside a few minutes each day to write down the things we are grateful for.
It is because of this steadily growing ability that our happiness in life improves tremendously. We experience an increase in optimism and self-assurance.
Gratitude enables us to make better use of the things that give us strength and to assess life situations and relationships with greater objectivity.
When faced with negativity, we grow more resilient. We understand that there are more possibilities available to us than they appear to be right now.
We realise that we are stronger and more in control than we realise, and that there is more out there than we can handle.
