Our culture is attacked all over the world. We have to deal with a lot of anger, criticism, and judgement in every part of our lives. When bad things happen in our lives and people keep texting us, it's easy to feel helpless.
It might be hard to get better if you constantly criticise and put yourself down. You begin to focus on the bad things in your life, and you start to feel bad about everything.
We have been subjected to this negativity for a long time and it has become a part of us. This makes it hard to see past it and realise that there are good things there, even if we are not aware of them.
Let's look at some ways to stop this harmful internal discussion.
Find the positive and negative thoughts.
First, learn the difference between talking positively to yourself and talking negatively to yourself. When we think negatively, we tell ourselves how bad we are or how bad things are.
The best thoughts are the ones that tell us we're great and can do big things. They remind us of how much better we can be and what we've done well in the past.
You can't reach your goals when you're thinking negatively.
Take a look at your life events. Think about times when you didn't like yourself. What took place? How did things go? Are you not successful?
It may come as a surprise, but thinking badly keeps you from reaching your full potential. Don't be too hard on yourself if you don't finish everything. It's not your fault if you don't reach all of your goals.
Change your bad thoughts into good ones.
This could be the hardest and most important task. Can you make something good out of everything bad?
First and foremost, stop thinking bad thoughts. From now on, you need to learn how to stop having bad thoughts and only think good things.
Stop listening to that negative voice in your head right now. You need to say it again in a better way.
As you walk down the street, someone tells you, "You're a loser." Say "I'm so awesome" instead of the negative thought, and then leave the person who is making you feel bad.
You need to do this with all of your important speakers. Now, don't listen to that sound. Instead, listen to the ones that make you feel good.
Say positive things.
Writing your own mantras is a simple way to change the way you think. Affirmations are short, upbeat sentences that tell you the opposite of what's going on in your mind.
