Focusing on Mental Health

Maintaining our wellness is an ongoing activity. It is not something that we do once and then leave it to chance. Like I always say we need food daily to live healthy, we need to sleep daily, we take our bath daily, then why should we not focus on our mental health on a daily basis. People majorly focus on their physical health and avoid taking care of their mental health, which is equally important or I can even say more important, because that's where all the problems begin. The physical ailment all starts with mental conditions like stress, anxiety, depression. If one takes good care of those things then it is less likely for the physical body to fall sick, or even if sick then there is a scope of fast recovery.

Medical Doctors also agree to it that it all starts with the mind. A person recovery from the most gravest ailments depends on the person's will power. There are miracles that happen to people with strong will power. There are stories of people turning back from their last stages, just because of their strong will power.

Everything is important to live a holistic healthy life, one cannot do just one thing and ignore the other. One may be eating the most healthy diet but may be very negative and toxic in thoughts or other lifestyle areas like improper sleep, no physical activity, then all of this is also going to impact the physical health. We hear of cases where people have been eating all healthy food, but still have health issues, these are such kind of cases, where they have not taken good care of their mental health.

Our mental health needs a lot of nurturing, we have so much toxicity and negativity around us that it's very easy to fall prey of it, but a strong mind can safeguard and bring wellness to the body. It is true that we will go low at certain times, but the important thing is to not stay in it and get out of it as soon as possible. The longer we stay in it, then it starts impacting the physical body.

Diabetes, hypertension, obesity, respiratory issues are so common these days. Medical science proves that lack of proper sleep over a prolonged period increases the insulin level in the body. Lack of good air and improper breathing creates respiratory issues, unhealthy diet and lack of physical exercise causes obesity, excess stress and lack of sleep causes hypertension. It is all interconnected and one cannot say that if I follow one good practice I can ignore the other one. Life needs to be lived fully and wholly.

With sick body and mind one cannot enjoy life, then one will only be left attending to all the possible ailments that they can get. Right amount of sleep, exercise, meditation, healthy eating, healthy habits and hobbies are all ways to a healthy life. I hope that you will find this article of mine meaningful.
