Everyone makes errors, and it's normal to feel awful.
We get into trouble when we live with guilt and desire its company.
We feel guilty after making a mistake. Can't some people let go of guilt?
Lots of us beat ourselves up over minor issues. Some seek guilt.
Guilty feelings indicate a major issue that people cannot resolve.
Others seek guilt for the tiniest things, as mentioned.
These folks must suffer. They have suffered difficult times and had lasting wounds beyond their control.
Why me? they often ask. I did what wrong?
They cannot control their insecurity from past experiences. Such a dilemma has what consequences?
A battered person may seek out someone to degrade them.
The person feels in charge of their masochism. She seeks this feeling.
Guilty people self-flagellate psychologically and physically.
She continually criticises herself, thinking about the hurt she may have caused and the wrong decisions she made.
The mind's profound transformation of guilt leads to self-criticism.
A mistreated individual may think they should have been more passive, not said this or that, etc.
These emotionally unstable folks are easy prey for manipulators.
Their problem is that they carry undeserved guilt, become bitter and gloomy, and cannot see their life.
After some time, maturity or an unforeseen incident may help them realise they are not guilty and never were. summer and felt miserable for no reason.
Not everyone who feels guilty is self-harming. Because it makes her feel powerful, she usually harms others.
Sometimes self-harm isn't enough. “Why me and not someone else?” can urge people to “share” their pain.
Also, being able to hurt others makes one feel secure.
She feels happier while others suffer. She convinces herself that if she's suffered, others must too.
A person who has been injured interprets their suffering as payback.
She then feels omnipotent and powerful, yet this is a myth. When she realises her actions are incorrect, she will feel worse.
How to avoid guilt?
Someone with guilt must recognise it before they can resolve it.
Techniques and methods she must use:
Beg forgiveness
Ask for forgiveness and move on after a mistake. Making mistakes is human and shouldn't stop us from progressing.
Let the truth out and keep on in life.
Repair damage
Even if others don't forgive or believe you, we should try to fix our mistakes if we can.
Turn negative into positive. Stay in touch with yourself and work to fix your mistakes.
Describe your guilt.
Feel guilty? Speak up. What we keep inside and don't say feeds guilt.
We want to be happy. Why not prevent the situation from worsening? Maybe we want pain?
We must adjust our behaviour and speak out against what affects us.
