Useful suggestions to help you look at events more objectively

Assumptions are beliefs that have not been verified by experience but are asserted to be so. As implied by the name... Providing there is... What therefore might these assumptions be? For instance

"What if he thought nothing I said was interesting?""Did I say something bad?" "Did I explain it enough?"Was that gesture I made misinterpreted?

"I spoke too loudly, he thought I was rude." "My manager looked angry, he definitely thought I was doing something wrong." We have considered such assumptions.

First of all, let me emphasise that it is an assumption-based function. We can avoid certain challenging circumstances and potential risks by making assumptions.

Naturally, given specific parameters... More damage from less choice. Here too the proverb holds true.

Let me take an alternate way; traffic can be heavier in the morning. Though it might be helpful to assess the options when we need to get someplace, thinking like "There is traffic in the morning, I have no chance, I will definitely be late"

Anxiety might result from such kinds of thoughts. Our anxiety and inability to handle the circumstance can be increased by negative presumptions.

Although we cannot, of course, control every thought that crosses our brains, when we pause and ask ourselves, "What is going through my mind right now?"

"What use does it serve me for?" Such kinds of queries are useful ones that can help to avoid unfavourable attitudes.

People see and interpret things differently and uniquely. Actually, several personalities and characters are to blame for this.

What may make one individual incredibly joyful could make another uncomfortable.

The world is spared monotony because to this. Contemplate it... What if there were just one colour in the entire universe? Or suppose every garden had just daisies?

What if dinner consisted just of spaghetti? Or if it were just day or night?

Some of us interpret disturbing circumstances as a cosmic joke, some as a lesson from the creator, and yet others as a mockery of life as we have a tendency to find explanations for everything from the moment of our birth.

Being raised with a very strong need to be loved and approved of, we could think that everything is reciprocal.

Maybe we believe that whether or not someone loves us is the fundamental cause of their actions towards us.

That example, we could think that we are being tried for our inadequacies in a given circumstance or that we are experiencing the behaviour in issue because we are not loved.

Initially, we seek for our own flaws and errors. But why shouldn't one consider "spontaneity" first?

Instead of searching for something about ourselves, why don't we see that this may just one of life's many ups and downs, that there could be another quite logical explanation?

Though our thoughts let us to view things from our own perspective, how reasonable is it to believe that everything revolves around us?
