오늘에서야 알게되었네요
중학교 개근상이 3년간 결석이 없어야 한다는 사실을.. 헐..
제가 국민학교 아니..초등학교와 중고등학교 다닐때는 매년마다 주었는데.
적어도 매년 상장 한 장은 집에 갖고갈 수 있게 말이죠(우등상도 있었습니다 ㅎㅎ)
여튼 아들 덕분에 오늘에서야 알게 되었지만
3년 동안 개근하는건 정말 쉽잖은일인데 말이죠.
그래서 갑자기 개근의 의미를 되짚어보게 되었습니다.
나에게 있어 개근의 의미는 무엇인가 라는 생각으로..
20년, 25년, 30년간 한 직장에서 자신의 자리를 지키시다 정년퇴임을 하시는 분들을 보며
'어떻게 저렇게 긴 시간동안 한곳에 매진할 수 있을까?' 라는 생각을 했었는데
지금 저를 돌아보니.. 저도 17년이 되었네요 ^^
생각해보니 별다른 특별한 생각을 갖고 지금까지 왔던것은 아닌듯 싶네요.
그저 하루하루 주어진 일을 지금껏 해 왔을뿐.
비록.. 별 일은 아니지만 말이죠.
대단하다고 생각했던 20년 30년의 개근의 비법은 어찌보면 아주 간단한 원리였던 것이죠.
별 것 아닌 일을 꾸준히 한다 라는..
그런 의미로

I had too much time without writing, but always remembering the beginnings in steemit.com when I wrote to you in Spanish and then in English because the Korean translation was incorrect.
Really when you perform the same activities for 20 or 30 years is because you like and feel good about what is being done, the other would be to work only for the money to survive.
I have worked since 1996 on the subject of semiconductors (Solid State Physics) and now I had to emigrate from my country due to political problems and I must dedicate myself to other activities in another country.

어릴 적에는 개근상이 그냥 학교 나가면 받는 그냥 기본적으로 주어지는 상이다 이렇게 생각했는데요. 점점 머리가 크다보니, 할 일과 하고 싶은 일은 많아지고, 무언가 한 가지를 꾸준히 한다는게 쉬운 게 아니라는 것을 느끼는 것 같아요. 그런 의미에 있어서 개근상이란 나 자신이 얼마나 신념 있게 꾸준하게 했느냐 되돌아보게 하는 멋진 상이라고 생각합니다.
17년이나 한 직장에 계셨다니, 멋지십니다. 제 나이 또래 또는 젊은 친구들 중에도 직장생활 1년 2년 이후 그만 두는 친구들도 쉽게 보이고,
저 또한 한국에서 회사 다닐 때
"왜 한국의 기업들은 꾸준하게 다닐 사람들만을 선호할까" 생각하기도 했는데, 어쩌면 경력의 단절보다 '꾸준함'이라는 기본적인 원칙이 중요했다는 생각이 들기도 합니다.

보내주신 댓글을 읽다보니..여러가지 생각이 머리를 스치고 지나갑니다.
어찌보면 요즘은 그저 오래다녔다는 것만이 능사는 아닌데 말이죠. 하지만 르바님도 언급하셨듯이 장기간 근속했다는 점은 또 다르게 표현한다면 그만한 근성이 뒷받침 되지 않았나 싶습니다.
물론 평생직장의 환상이 모두 깨진 현실에 이제 오랜 직장생활만이 능사가 아님은 저 또한 같게 생각하고 있지만 너무 빠른 이직은 아직은 잘 이해되지 않는것이 어찌보면 아직도 제 생각도 구형이 아닌가 싶기도 합니다 ^^
