언제부터 운동이 필요하다고 느끼면서 동네에 있는 학교앞 공터를 자주 가게 되었습니다.
낮시간에는 주차장으로 사용되지만 방과후에는 차들이 다 빠져 나가고 대신 사람들이 하나둘 모여드는 곳이지요.
친구들과 산책을 하고 가족들과 배드민턴을 치는 사람들 그리고 크리켓을 하는 사람들도 눈에 띕니다... ^^
쿠웨이트에는 쿠웨이티(쿠웨이트 국적을 가진 원주민)보다 외국인들이 더많고 그중에 인도인들의 비중이 제일 높습니다.
그러다 보니 쿠웨이트 어디를 가도 인도인들을 볼수 있는데... 휴일이나 업무가 끝난 후에는 인도의 국민스포츠로 불리우는 크리켓(Criket) 경기를 하는 모습을 자주 볼수 있습니다.
인도의 크리켓 선수의 연봉 수준이 미국의 프로야구와 농구 다음이라고 하니 그 열기가 대단한것 같습니다.
경기하는 모습을 보면 야구와 비슷한 느낌이네요.
구경하는 사람들 사이에서 타격을 하는 배트맨(Batman)의 모습을 찍어 보았습니다... ^^
운동을 마치고 돌아오는 길가에 예쁜 꽃이 눈에 띄어 한컷 올려 봅니다... ^^
