정기후원하는 단체에서 문자를 받았습니다. 6.25참전국이었던 튀르키예가 지진 피해로 힘들어한다고 이제는 우리가 도와 줄 차례라고 후원을 요청하는 문자였습니다. 우리를 도와주었던 어쨌든 간에 너무나 마음아픈 일이라 주저없이 소액 후원했습니다.
그런데 급 의문이 생겼어요. 튀르키예? 이런나라도 있었나? 검색을 해 보니 우리가 터키라고 부르는 국가의 정식 명칭이 튀르키예였네요.
터키는 6.25전쟁때 네번째로 많은 장병을 파견했던 나라였죠..희생자도 많았고..이제 우리가 도울 차례인건 맞는 것 같아요. 국가 차원에서도 뭔가 도움이 될 만한 지원이 적극 이루어지길 바라며, 이번 지진으로 피해른 본 모든 이들을 위해 기도합니다.
